During the inspection, our Specialist Jeff N., saw that the roof was cracked and rotting in many spots.
When replacing a flat roof, it is important to completely remove any old roofing. This allows the team installing the new roof to see if there is rot or water damage to the roof decking and if any plywood needs to be replaced.
The plywood beneath the roofing was damage by moisture seeping through the cracks.
Our team removed all plywood that had water damage and replaced it with brand new plywood.
Prior to the final step of the flat roof installation, our team installed a synthetic underlayment to seal and waterproof the plywood and ensure that water would not find its way into the home again. Following the underlayment installation, a second membrane layer is installed.
Once the cap sheet was installed, the installation was complete and the roof was completely waterproofed again.
