The old roof shingles were deteriorating, stained and weak. It was time for them to be replaced!
The old shingles were removed to expose the roof decking. Once removed, the wood was inspected by our team.
Due to the age and condition of the old shingles, water had started to seep in. The water caused the wood roof decking to rot and grow mold.
The new roof was finished and had multiple layers of protection. Prior to installing the new shingles, our team installed an ice and water shield membrane to protect and waterproof the roof decking.
The ridge vent allows humidity to escape in the winter and heat to escape in the summer. The shingles that compose the ridge vent are completely reinforced and will keep out wind, bugs and other animals.
